Have pupils of Sokol learnt about Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve playing games?

Employees of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve organized a diverse museum program for pupils of the Secondary School № 5 in Sokol.

 

A regular visit beyond the Kirillov district within the framework of the program “Museum – to the Vologda Region” was organized on April 13, 2017. Employees of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve went to the Secondary School № 5 in Sokol. Over 900 pupils attend this educational institution. A diverse museum program was arranged for them.

Third-form boys and girls made a folk textile doll using techniques of traditional folk culture together with museum employees K.V. Gusarina and L.G. Myakusheva. M.N. Travnikova held the playing program “Magic Box” for first-formers. Pupils of the second grades were taught to make finger dolls by T.V. Trubnikova and E.A. Serova. O.G. Kuzmichyova made a virtual tour of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve for fifth- and sixth-formers. The schoolchildren of Sokol learnt a lot of new things about the museum club of historical reenactment “Tsar’s Stronghold”. They tried on historical costumes and saw replicas of the arms of the 14th-17th centuries. This lesson was conducted by A.V. Tsvetkov. Besides, the exhibition “Great Tsar’s Fortress” was open in the school building during the day.

It is worth noting that the trip was useful and fruitful. The teaching staff and pupils of the school in thanked the museum employees and invited them to come again.
