Famous linguist became distinguished guest of Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve!

Igor Olegovich Shaytanov, chairman of the management board of the Russian Booker Foundation, first deputy chief editor of the magazine “Voprosy Literatury”, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, head of the Sub-Department of Comparative History of Literature at the Department of History and Philology in the Institute for Philology and History of the Russian State University for the Humanities, author of over 400 works, visited the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve.

After the tour of the museum-reserve and the People’s House, he noted, “I know the monastery and the museum in Kirillov for half a century and I automatically compare what was there with what you have now. Only love for this wonderful site and enthusiasm of the keepers of this amazing Russian sacred place probably don’t change. But the present and novelty of Kirillov figured in history and fit into the nature impress as well. A magnificent exhibition, fascinating guides who are real masters. Kirillov in its antiquity has become a centre of modern culture!”

The architecture and the best exhibitions of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve were presented to the Russian critic and literary scholar.
