Memorial Flat of Vasily Belov: about first results and plans for future

In autumn 2015, the apartment in Vologda at 10 Oktyabrskaya Street where the writer Vasily Belov had lived since the late 1980s, got a status of the memorial flat and became a branch of the Kirillo-Belozersky Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve. Belov wrote the novels “The Year of a Major Breakdown”, “The Sixth Hour”, “A Story about One Village”, “Vologda’s Buktinas”, plenty of short stories, including “The Soul is Immortal” that became a visiting card of the writer, in this very flat. The museum became famous right after its opening – the name of Vasily Belov speaks for itself and attracts admirers of his creative activity. Olga Anfimova, head of the Memorial Flat of Vasily Belov, told about the first results and further prospects.
