In autumn 2015, the apartment in Vologda at 10 Oktyabrskaya Street where the writer Vasily Belov had lived since the late 1980s, got a status of the memorial flat and became a branch of the Kirillo-Belozersky Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve. Belov wrote the novels “The Year of a Major Breakdown”, “The Sixth Hour”, “A Story about One Village”, “Vologda’s Buktinas”, plenty of short stories, including “The Soul is Immortal” that became a visiting card of the writer, in this very flat. The museum became famous right after its opening – the name of Vasily Belov speaks for itself and attracts admirers of his creative activity.
