Results of the contests of drawings and essays “There is a Town on Earth…” marking the 240th anniversary of the foundation of Kirillov were summed up in the Museum of Town and District History on October 22.

This contest was organized by the Kirillo-Belozersky Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve and the District Youth Centre “Alfa”. Children of preschool educational institutions, pupils of secondary schools and institutions of additional education located in the Kirillov district took part in it.

Task № 8 of October 25

Results of the creative contest for the best logo of the Memorial Flat of Vasily Belov, the branch of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve, were summed up on October 24, 2016.

The 3D model of Dionisy’s frescoes painted in 1502 will be made by employees of the Factum Foundation in collaboration with the Charitable Peri Foundation. The Spanish company Factum Arte that digitalizes and reconstructs cultural heritage sites is famous all over the world for the facsimile of the Tomb of Tutankhamun. The first project implemented in Russia was preservation of the cultural heritage of Kala-Koreysh in Dagestan.

Every year the interest in the conference increases, its subject is expanded and the number of participants grows. The 15th Ferapontovo Readings were held in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve and the Museum of Dionisy’s Frescoes from October 20 to 21. By tradition, pupils, students and their teachers, museum employees and professional researchers participated in the event. They presented 76 reports.

Conscript’s Day marking the autumn conscription campaign 2016 took place in the museum on October 19.

Task № 6 of October 18

The summer tourist season in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve has come to an end.

The meeting with Mikhail Sharomazov, director of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve, timed to the 30th anniversary of his museum work, took place in the Club of Art Amateurs in the Vologda Regional Picture Gallery last Saturday. It was opened by Vladimir Voropanov, director of the gallery, honorary freeman of Vologda. He pointed out that it was quite an event for Vologda.
