Safety of “Sugorye 2017” is under control!

Organizational issues concerning the holding of the Historical and Ethnographical Festival “Sugorye” were discussed in the Kirillov District Administration on July 28. This event will last for two days. According to the organizers’ estimates, 3-4 thousand people will take part in each day of the festival program.

The main question on the agenda was safety of guests at the Historical and Ethnographical Festival “Sugorye”.

The organizers of the event - the Historical and Ethnographical Complex “Sugorye” and the Kirillo-Belozersky Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve – discussed the following issues together with members of the organizing committee (representatives of the Kirillov District Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Vologda Region Centre of the State Inspection of Small Vessels in the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations and the Kirillov District Administration): water safety (two boats will be presented at this year’s festival) and maintenance of order on the Kuzino passenger pier where the main performance “Fortress Assault” is due to be held.

Volunteers will also keep order at the festival along with the law enforcement establishments of the Kirillov district.

Igor Ruchin, main organizer of the Historical Festival “Sugorye 2017”, noted, “Volunteers from the Cherepovets club will work on various grounds of the festival this year. They will help to remove rubbish, to check tickets, to arrange transport parking on the already prepared ground…”

The participants of the meeting also discussed the transport issue: public buses will run from the building of the local authorities in Kirillov to the venue of the festival and back on both days – on August 5 and 6. Four buses have been already provided for these purposes. The first bus will go at 11:20. A ticket costs 20 rubles for adults and 25 rubles for children.

The Festival of Historical Reenactment “Sugorye 2017” will be opened in the Kirillov district soon. Thousands of people will gather on the Kuzino passenger pier to take part in it. And the organizers should prepare not only a cultural program for them, but also arrange visitors’ leisure, rest in the open air, and certainly ensure their safety on the venue of the festival. All necessary questions were discussed at the coordination meeting on July 28 after which it was clear that the parking lot for cars had been already made, all law enforcement establishments were involved into the event, nutritional and waste removal issues had been solved.
