Puppet play “The Jumping Princess”

Vladimir Dotsenko and Elena Tadlova, artists of the Vologda Puppet Theatre “Teremok”, told an interesting story to children and adults. It took place in one fairy kingdom: a kind and cheerful princess named Yarmilka was bewitched by the wicked wizard. She was always jumping. But brave Prince Jiřík beat the wizard and saved the princess.

After the performance, Vladimir Dotsenko and Elena Tadlova delivered a master-class for boys and girls. They taught them to operate puppets. Children learnt about plenty of puppets and different systems of their operation. There are glove-puppets, rod-puppets, marionettes, photo stand-in, life-size puppets, jigging puppets, mechanical dolls.

Besides, Vladimir Dotsenko told about the puppets presented at the exhibition “Magic Forest”. They are the main characters of various play of the Vologda Puppet Theatre “Teremok”: “The Little Red Riding Hood”, “Aladdin”, “The Black Hen”, “Mad Rabbits”, and “Netochka Nezvanova”.

Residents and guests of Kirillov will be able to see the fairy tale about Princess Yarmilka in the People’s House on January 6 and 7 at 11 a.m.
