Performance of wind band is real holiday!

A festive concert was organized on this day within the framework of the program “Museum – to the Town”. The Kirillov Cossack Ensemble “Silver Horseshoe” and the famous wind band from Vologda “Classic Modern Band” performed in it.

The brass concert orchestra of Vologda “Classic Modern Band” was founded in 1999. It has become the brand of the music life of Vologda within these years. Not a single solemn event of the city is held without participation of this music group. It received numerous awards of the Ministry of Culture, the Vologda Region Governor, and the Vologda City Administration. The repertoire of the brass band is various and includes opera and symphony, traditional spiritual, folk, dance and pop music, comic opera and jazz. All musicians and certainly their eternal head - Viktor Kochnev, Honored Artist of Russia, Honoured Art Worker of the RF, have to work hard to execute all compositions so masterfully and incredibly easily.

The best musicians of Vologda performed wartime melodies, songs from different films, lyrical songs and pop compositions during the festive program in Kirillov.

The brand band was one of the light and romantic recollections of the youth for plenty of guests in the concert hall. Wind music was performed in the town park of Kirillov many years ago attracting numerous listeners. On June 12, spectators remembered those happy moments when they hurried to the dance floor in the park to see and to listen to the concert of the brass band again.  

Live music and mastership of the musicians created unique festive spirits and the wonderful voice of soloist Viktor Kuznetsov struck a deep emotional chord in the hearts of the audience. Every concert number was greeted with cheers. The guests gave s standing ovation to the wind band at the end of the music program.

It is worth noting that S.V. Usov, head of the Kirillov district, gave passports to young residents of the town within the framework of the festive event.
