Museum employees took part in Seventh Kirillo-Novoezersky Readings

The Kirillo-Novoezersky Readings has been held since 2011. They were named after St. Kirill Novoezersky who had founded a monastery in the Belozersk district in 1517.

 

The goals of the conference are: to introduce researches and materials about the history of the Russian North (including the Belozersk district), Orthodox monasteries and churches into scientific use; to study problems of museum education; to introduce new technologies and to exchange experience. There were four sections at the conference. L.I. Glysina, I.N. Parshukova, S.V. Bunin presented their reports in the section “Spiritual Heritage” and A.N. Kalikina gave a talk in the section “Local History”. An electronic collection of all reports has been published according to the results of the readings.
