Meeting with Natalia Solzhenitsyna was held in museum

During the tour, N.D. Solzhenitsyna visited the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve. She saw the architectural monuments and permanent and temporary exhibitions. She was especially interested in the collection of Old Russian icons and works of church art in the House of the Father Superior. Besides, Natalia Solzhenitsyna visited the Museum of Dionisy’s Frescoes and the museum complex “Tsypino” located 2 km far from the Ferapontov Monastery.

M.N. Sharomazov, director of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve, conducted a tour for the guest and answered her questions about development stages of the architectural monuments and important historical events connected with them.

In the evening, N.D. Solzhenitsyna opened the photo display presenting the life of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn in Switzerland. She met with residents of Kirillov in the conference hall and answered their questions about the creative work of her husband, his relations with colleagues and life abroad.
