Lake shore near Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve is clean now!

Museum employees, pupils of Kirillov, the District Youth Centre “Alfa” and representatives of the Kirillov District Administration took part in the large clean-up event near the walls of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve.

Employees of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve (the Department of Visitor Relations and the Department of General Services and Maintenance) arranged and hold the museum environmental event “Clean Shore” on May 3, 2017. Students of the Vologda Regional College of Culture and Tourism Alina Grunicheva, Mikhail Pobedkin, Ekaterina Arefyeva, Maria Kondratyeva together with their teacher V.L. Nuzhina; S.A. Kartashova, director of the District Youth Center “Alfa”; D.V. Fokin, head of the Department of Youth Affairs in the Kirillov District Administration, members of the Young Guards Arina Sazhina and Artyom Smirnov; volunteers Ekaterina Korolyova, Veronika Viktorova, Arina Zaitseva, Alexandra Marakasova, Marina Sazonova, Vitalina Kholina, Maria Sidelnikova; seventh- and fourth-formers of the Kirillov Secondary School Ilya Sulimov, Kirill Klubkov, Maxim Korin, Alexey Maslov, Anton Vozmilov, Anastasia Golyagina, Anastasia Kryazheva, Nikolay Osoryev, Vyacheslav Savichev, Maxim Makarenko, Konstantin Semyonov, Ivan Goryachev, Tatiana Lebedeva, Alina Vedenina; Viktoriya Goryacheva, third-former of the Goritsy Secondary School, took an active part in the action.

They collected over 30 bags of waste (each bag weighed 120 liters) on the shore of Lake Siverskoye near the monastery walls from the Belozersk to the Smithy Towers, at the mouth of the Sviyaga River where it met Lake Siverskoye, near the helicopter pad between the lake and the river.

The Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve thanks everybody who has joined in the action and hopes for further cooperation in the solution of environmental issues on the shore of Lake Siverskoye near the monastery walls!
