Кирилло-Белозерский музей-заповедник и историко-этнографический комплекс «Сугорье» объединил... фестиваль!

An important event happened in late June: two most significant tourist sites of the Kirillov district – the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve and the Historical and Ethnographical Complex “Sugorye” – united within the framework of one event for the first time within many years. Igor Ruchin, director of the Travel Agency “Princely Yard” and head of the Tour Department in the Sugorye Complex, commented upon this partnership, “It is a very important moment for us – we have dreamt of establishing good partnership relations with the museum for a long time. I hope they will grow into friendship. The activity of our complex can perfectly supplement the museum work and reveal its separate edges. The Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve is the greatest architectural monument left to us by our ancestors and the Historical and Ethnographical Complex “Sugorye” presents historical re-enactment where history introduced in the museum as classical tours revives. It is a new high level for us to work together with the pearl of the Vologda region – the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve”.

This event has been already included into the museum plan and the museum will render every assistance to the festival. The goal of the advertizing campaign is to turn this festival from a regional into a federal event.

Andrey Arkhippov, representative of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve, said, “This year we have decided to unite our experience of holding the festivals, namely the Festival of Historical Reenactment “Kirillo-Belozersky Siege” and the Historical and Ethnographical Festival “Sugorye”, to move the Sugorye Festival into a new level and to make it more eventful. We are equally taking part in its organization. Using all its resources and capabilities, the museum-reserve is promoting this event in the Kirillov district and mass media of the whole region. We are making the program, providing equipment, planning to deliver a number of master-classes, giving unique exhibits, and so on.

All in all, our joint efforts are directed to make a better product for residents and guests of the district who could get a lot of emotions”.

The Historical and Ethnographical Festival “Sugorye” will be held on the passenger pier “Kuzino” from August 5 to 6. It will be opened at noon.
