How “Ah, Samara-Town” was performed in Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve!

Музыкально-хореографическую композицию "Эх, Самара-городок" в Кирилло-Белозерско музее-заповеднике представил Государственный Волжский русский народный хор!

The Volga State Russian Folk Choir of P.M. Miloslavov presented one of its most spectacular programs on the stage of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve. Singers, choreographers, instrumentalists – in all, 55 people! Bright costumes, ringing and gentle voices! Recognizable melodies! Spectators’ applause! The emotions at the concert ran high! Children ran out to the stage and danced in front of it. The artists told the whole stories from the life of usual people, encouraged, laughed and danced!

“These are the boldest members of our ensemble! In all, it consists of 120 persons!” said Vitaly Natarov, director of the Volga State Russian Folk Choir of P.M. Miloslavov.

The choir came to Kirillov within the framework of the collaboration with the Vologda Regional Philharmonic Society named after V.A. Gavrilin. The best artists of Samara and the whole Volga region gave a lively concert to the audience titled “Ah, Samara-Town”. It was preceded with a special program marking the 620th anniversary of the foundation of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery and the 590th anniversary of the death of St. Kirill Belozersky.

Mikhail Sharomazov, director of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve, thanked the musicians for a wonderful concert and suggested that more spectators should attend it next time.
