Good news for visitors: you will have personal guide in Kirillov!

Imagine an interesting walking tour of one of the most famous museums of Russia - the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve. Imagine a guide who won’t be in a hurry and won’t get distracted by other tourists, who will tell only you the most interesting things about the ancient monastery.

Think how great it is to walk with a guide, who never confuses and forgets the facts, stops only where you want, spends only the necessary amount of time near each monument and tells only those things that are really interesting for you…

And what if this tour is free – you don’t have to pay for it? Starting from December 2017, visitors will be able to download a free mobile application “Mobile Guide of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve” right on the museum grounds. It will become your personal guide.
Using a detailed map and in-depth description of all monuments at the monastery, you will be able to orientate yourself easily and follow the recommended route… or make your own route. Thanks to this mobile application, you will be able to learn about the ensemble of the ancient cloister and the activity of the museum that preserves its architectural and cultural heritage.

Would you like to see how some monastery buildings looked a hundred years ago? Plenty of pictures from the museum archive have been scanned especially for you and many of them are published for the first time!

This application is being made thanks to the victory of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve in the Seventh Grant Contest held by PAO Severstal within the framework of the charity program “Museums of the Russian North”. The operator of the program is the Non-Profit Initiative Traektoria Foundation.
