Discussion platform in People’s House

It is worth reminding that this project has been implemented by employees of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve together with activists of the Youth Center “Alfa” since 2014.
A lot of events, contests, quizzes, meetings have been organized in the museum and in the Youth Center “Alfa” within this time.
Specialists and volunteers of the Youth Center “Alfa” and museum employees are not going to stop at what has already been accomplished. They implement new ideas and arrange new events.
One of the new directions of the project “It is My Town” was a discussion platform about “Beautification of the Historical Part of Kirillov – Gostinodvorskaya Street”.
Competent members of the expert commission attended the meeting: O.V. Voronicheva, deputy director on restoration in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve and chairperson of the District Town-Planning Council; I.Y. Ryabkova, head of the Department of Architecture and Town-Planning in the Kirillov District Administration, and A.Y. Kotov, Mayor of Kirillov.
Three teams introduced their drafts of beatification of the central part of the town.
The following suggestions were made during the discussion of the presented ideas: construction of a children’s playground, resumption of work of the dance floor in the central park, laying out of flowerbeds along the street, arrangement of the pedestrian area in this street.
Members of the expert commission underlined feasibility of the suggestions and highly appreciated the presented drafts. According to A.Y. Kotov, Mayor of Kirillov, many projects will be implemented.
They will continue organizing discussion platforms of various topics in the museum and the Youth Center “Alfa”.
