Christmas greetings of pupils of Sunday school in Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery
January 8, 2017
Monk-priest Nil (Androshchuk) greeted all guests and participants of the festive event.
“We have gathered here to celebrate the Nativity of Christ. Like the Magi two thousand years ago, we, Christians, bring gifts to Jesus Christ during these holy days: faith, hope and love. These gifts become more valuable when our faith grows and hope doesn’t wane and then our love can be seen in all our deeds. The Sunday school has also prepared a present for all of us and God today”, he said. Besides, Father Nil told about the history of the holiday and wished all residents of Kirillov a Merry Christmas!
Pupils of the Sunday school sang Christmas carols and recited poems and presented a theatre play based on the Ukrainian folk tale “Wolf’s Song”. The performance of the young artists gave joy and good spirits to the spectators.
