Articles from holdings of Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve were exhibited in Kostroma Museum-Reserve
The opening ceremony of the exhibition “Preserving the Eternal…” was held in the Romanov Hall of the Kostroma State Museum-Preserve for History, Architecture and Art on that day. It presented works of art restored by employees of the Restoration Centre, including three items of polychromic wooden sculptures from the collection of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve.
The museum develops cooperation with the Kostroma’s branch of the All-Russian Art Scientific and Restoration Centre named after academician I.E. Grabar. Three more articles from the collection of wood will be restored there in 2017. These organizations plan to work on the conservation of some museum items. The restorers of Kostroma will carry it out on site, in the museum, next summer.
