Photos of icons and frescoes from Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve and Museum of Dionisy’s Frescoes are exhibited in Germany

The exhibition titled “St. Nicholas – Mystery, Fiction, and Truth” was opened in the Winckelmann Museum in Stendal (Germany). It presents reproductions of icons and other depictions of St. Nicholas from the holdings of the largest museums of the region – the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve, the Museum of Dionisy’s Frescoes, the Vologda State Museum-Preserve, the Veliky Ustiug Museum-Preserve, and the Totma Museum Association. According to the information of the Department of Culture and Tourism in the Vologda Region, the display in Stendal will be open till January 8, 2017.

Its topic was “Use of Regional Potential of the Museum-Reserve in Personal Enhancement of Pupils in the Context of Implementation of the National Project “Education”.

“Night of Arts” in chamber style

Events of the All-Russian action “Night of Arts” in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve were organized on several grounds: the Museum of Town and District History, the People’s House, the Refectory, the Assumption Cathedral, the Kazan Tower and the conference hall. All of them were certainly filled with inspiration and bright emotions!

Alexey Nikulnikov in museum

Today film and theatre actor Alexey Nikulnikov has made a tour of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve, visiting its permanent exhibitions, going to the Refectory, the Dormition Cathedral and ascending the Bell-Tower.
